What happens when three old friends in crisis fall into an unexpected love triangle? In The Catch, Maya, Henry and Daniel embark upon an emotional journey that forces them to confront unresolved pain, present-day traumas and powerful desires, leading them to question the very meaning of love and fulfillment. The Catch tells a tale of ordinary people seeking the extraordinary – or, if that’s asking too much, some damn peace of mind.

Herrera current MVP while Kemp is out

I’m not sure about that, but it’s hard undervalue his contributions.
KT
ok who’s your choice?
Blue-eyed Gal
Joe Boyd, who has apparently become a Dodgers fan.
KT
No idea who he is…Is he part of the new owners group
Blue-eyed Gal
No, he’s the baseball fan in the “damn Yankees” comedy/musical who sold his soul to the devil to help his team start winning more.
Anonymous
Also, it’s hard to overvalue his contributions
KT
Think we can catch lightning in the bottle again with Rameriz’s bat…Man that would be nice but i don’t think he really has it anymore
Anonymous
Surely you jest.
KT
Did you read the whole post
Anonymous
You’re right – he no longer has “it” – “it” being steroids.
Anonymous
What is “it”?
It’s it.

So Loney – who can’t hit lefties – comes in off the bench and singles in his one at bat of the night – against a nasty lefty – and scores the winning run.
KT
he’s hasn’t been given the credit for his at bats lately especially the other night 9 pitch single against another nasty lefty…He needs some more chances…He would have saved Dee’s throw tonight…maybe not the very high one but definitely the low one
Anonymous
Yeah – the low one that scored a run for the Sox – I thought the same thing when it happened.
Anonymous
Big Donkey can sure hit lefties. 7 dingers in 74 AB this season.
bcmaiden
Stop benching Loney. We need a rally cry from the peanut gallery.

increasing your DT record, at least since I’ve been here 49 months, for non-fact based opinions.
but, Loney will start tonight as Humber is much tougher against RHH

You clearly have a problem with me. I leave the stat posting to those who do. I don’t need stats to show or prove that James is defensively superior to every one else who plays 1st and that he has hit better this month vs RH & LH than Andre, Rivera, Gwynn, & others. He doesn’t hit home runs, but no one else does either. So, am I not allowed to post opinions/observations without stats? Just because I don’t give stats it doesn’t make them non-facts.

The Dodgers clinch a winning first half of 2012.

Oh lordie. My quiet glee at tonight’s game and the ability of our Rube Goldbergian team being able to recover and pull a rabbit out of a hat was just superseded by my nerdish delight at “Wonder Twin Powers Activate.” I had forgotten that chunk of my childhood entirely until you jogged the memory banks.
And what on EARTH were the writers smoking when they came up with that one. Octopus…and an ice…unicycle?!

Wasn’t mescaline Walt’s drug of choice?

Never got into that cartoon though my littlest sister used to watch it sometimes

A 9-5 June w/o Kemp is just about all a fan can ask for, and I’m looking forward to the Dodgers/Giants both teams facing the A’s and Angels, and then the series with the rival at the end of June. Dodgers finish out with the Mets at home and the Giants host Cincy.

Broxton got a really weird save tonight, according to this gameday description: “With Rafael Furcal batting, Tyler Green steals second base. Throwing error by catcher Humberto Quintero. Tyler Greene out at home, second baseman Chris Getz to third baseman Mike Moustakas to catcher Humberto Quintero.”
Jason Ungar
I love how one was always some weird water related thing. Form of Ice Unicycle!

Its amazing, another 0-3 HR game and another win

What shall we do with Dee, 21 steals balanced with 13 errors, 2 walks today?
Anonymous
When you’re stealing at 75% or so, you are just barely breaking even (positive run-value of like 1 run created). I would send him down if we can find a contingency plan. He needs it as much as the Dodgers.
That said, what a weird but satisfying win. Wonder team is right.
Anonymous
He is actually trending upward over his last 100 PA with an OPS of about .700, which is close to league average.
Anonymous
thanks Bob
Anonymous
Over that period he is stealing at a 90% clip. Keep it up Dee!
Anonymous
Yes, i guess not everyone would have scored on the double in the first innings

Most of his errors came some time ago, and I think his defense has been much better lately. Also, he has phenomenal range, even if he does need to improve his judgment as to when to hold the ball and when to throw it.
