A lineup the ’88 Dodgers could love

What happens when three old friends in crisis fall into an unexpected love triangle? In The Catch, Maya, Henry and Daniel embark upon an emotional journey that forces them to confront unresolved pain, present-day traumas and powerful desires, leading them to question the very meaning of love and fulfillment. The Catch tells a tale of ordinary people seeking the extraordinary – or, if that’s asking too much, some damn peace of mind.

Might we assume that Puig is yet a bit short of immortality?
foul tip
Based on his dugout horseplay antics like play-mugging Uribe and feeding him bananas during his “King Kong” 3-HR game, Puig might have earned “Clown Prince” status. ;-])
Linkmeister
Yeah, but he’s a little more talented than Max Patkin.

Despite losing 3 of 4 to the Gnats – so they showed they could beat the Dodgers’ B-team, who cares? – Dodgers still in a great position, having only to split against the Dirty Snakes to wrap up the division. 13 games to go over the next two weeks is plenty of time to rest all the aches and pains of Hanley and the starting outfield. Paco needs a few days off, which should not be a problem with all the call-ups in the ‘pen.
Having home field advantage or not continues not to concern me in the least. It is of much more importance to get all the regulars healthy – and if the B team can somehow pull through and win enough to secure HFA, than great – would be a good bonus, but nowhere near crucial to a successful postseason run.

Thanks for the positive Monday morning perspective.

Better than Sunday’s line-up, but still nowhere near the force we can be when everyone’s healthy. Let’s hope it’s enough!

Is Van Slyke in the doghouse? It seems like with all the injuries, he should be a guy getting more PT.
btimmer
Mattingly said today that he’s hurt.
Jon Weisman
I missed that. That means the top five OF are hurt, depending on your thoughts of Schumaker. That’s amazing.
btimmer
A rib injury of some kind.
dalegribel
Sore ribs area is what I read. Mattingly said he’d be available to pinch hit if necessary.

Whats the reason that Buss is getting playing time and Joc Pederson never got called up to play?

Pederson is not on the 40-man roster

Andrew Cashner is very interesting through 5 innings against the Bucs.

interesting game in Pittsburgh…Padres with all kinds of chances but can’t score to take advantage

For those who get it, MLB Network going to show the top of the 7th (and subsequent half-innings if still interesting I’m sure) in Pitt…

I was looking for the pirate feed but forgot I had to watch the local guys
