Back in ’65 it was tough for a Dodger fan living in New York to follow the team. We were lucky to have a strong contender almost every year, which brought the team to the TV screen more often, by showing up in the World Series, quite often.

1962 might have been the greatest team had not Sandy had the mysterious finger ailment. Maury Wills wins the MVP with the stolen base record. Tommy Davis hitting .346 with 153 RBI’s. The big “D” winning the Cy Young with 25 wins. Frank Howard with 31 HR and 119 RBI. Koufax, 14-4 with 209 K’s on JULY 12th, when the injury stopped his season short. And we won 102 games without him!
