Five trophies were given to the Dodgers and SportsNet LA at the 68th annual Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards on Saturday.
Those Emmys included one for best sports feature, the Dodgers Holiday Story (above), featuring Hall of Fame broadcaster Vin Scully and executive produced by Greg Taylor, who has directed the Dodgers’ production team since 2010. Also part of the winning team were producer Erick Cesar Vazquez, editor Scott Pellman and cameraman Julian Gooden. The feature aired on SportsNet LA’s “Access SportsNet.”
It was the Dodgers’ second Emmy in as many years for top sports feature, after winning in 2015 for the salute to the team’s 10,000th victory.
SportsNet LA also won Emmys for live sports coverage, single-camera videography (David Strumpf), live sports series (“Leadoff L.A.”) and sports special (“Dodgermentary: Welcome to Dodgertown”).

How can something no one can see (Sportsnet LA) win an Emmy?
Don Bright
Correction, only TWC (well maybe it’s Spectrum now) subscribers, not no one, can see.

More than that, even.
