Ross Stripling is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start Saturday against the Red Sox, with Rich Hill projected to make his Dodger debut Sunday, according to Dodger manager Dave Roberts.
To make room for Stripling on the active roster, Bud Norris will likely become the 26th Dodger on the disabled list this season, extending their National League record.
Norris, who has a 4.34 ERA in 29 innings with the Dodgers, lasted two batters July 31 before leaving with a muscle strain in his back. Stripling, who threw 51 pitches in 3 2/3 innings in relief of Norris, will be starting on five days’ rest, give or take some plane flights.
Stripling has made four relief appearances in the Majors and five starts in the minors since his last start for the Dodgers May 19.
Hill’s activation from the disabled list Sunday will require a separate roster move by the Dodgers.

What a parade of starting pitchers. Remember that thing called a rotation?
