Though the Dodgers haven’t officially revealed their 25-man roster for the National League Division Series, Dave Roberts answered the remaining questions about the final spots today before the team’s final pre-NLDS workout in Los Angeles.
Here’s how it shakes out, pending any last-minute changes:

Catchers (3): Austin Barnes, Yasmani Grandal, Carlos Ruiz
Infielders (5): Adrían González, Chase Utley, Corey Seager, Justin Turner, Charlie Culberson
Infielder-outfielder (1): Howie Kendrick
Outfielders (5): Yasiel Puig, Joc Pederson, Josh Reddick, Andrew Toles, Andre Ethier
Starting pitchers (3): Clayton Kershaw, Rich Hill, Kenta Maeda
Swingmen (2): Ross Stripling, Julio Urías
Relief pitchers (6): Kenley Jansen, Joe Blanton, Pedro Báez, Grant Dayton, Luis Avilan, Josh Fields
Roberts added that some players not on the roster will travel with the team in case of injury. These include Rob Segedin, J.P. Howell and Alex Wood. Others will work out at Camelback Ranch in case of potential activation down the road.

Glad to see Kershaw made the roster. He’s shown in the past to be a potentially good lefty bat off the bench, but I’m a little concerned with his .387 OPS this year.

No Hernandez but keeping Barnes. Interesting. Not a bad call, but interesting.

Surprised about Barnes and one less pitcher. Seems to me that Kershaw will go in game 4 no matter what.

A .190 average won’t get you on too many PO rosters when there are lots of better choices for that roster spot.
Picking Barnes frees up Ruiz as an extra RH pinch hitter (a much better hitter then Kike) and still having a back up catcher. Barnes is also a good enough runner to PR, and while he can’t play SS, can also play 2B and CF, if needed. Much better use of the roster spot.
That said, I would have thought they would have had another pitcher instead.

I understand why, but no Liberztore still sucks. The Dodgers wouldn’t be where they are without him this season.

He’ll get a share of any money they’ll get to split and a ring if that’s what you are worried about. You can’t waste spot on the roster for a player that’s disabled.
