A flurry of moves have been made by the Dodgers before tonight’s game in Colorado.
Louis Coleman (right shoulder fatigue) and Adam Liberatore (left elbow inflammation) have been placed on the disabled list. For Liberatore, the transaction is retroactive to July 30.
Joining the Dodgers from Triple-A Oklahoma City are pitchers Julio Urías and newly acquired Josh Fields. In addition, outfielder Andrew Toles has been optioned to Oklahoma City to make room for tonight’s starting pitcher, Brock Stewart.
In addition, Clayton Kershaw has been moved to the 60-day disabled list — click here to read more.)
Finally, right-handed pitcher Josh Ravin was reinstated from the restricted list and optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Coleman and Liberatore give the Dodger a full 25-man roster of players who have been on their disabled list in 2016. The Dodger bench for tonight’s game is Yasmani Grandal, Chase Utley, Josh Reddick and Chris Taylor.
Since his franchise-record streak of 28 straight scoreless appearances from May 20 through July 22 ended, Liberatore has faced five batters over two games and been charged with four runs.
Coleman hasn’t allowed a run or inherited run in six games since July 21, striking out five in 4 2/3 innings, though there have been seven baserunners. He has a 3.70 ERA this season.

So this is the moves you meant Jon. Don’t care about Coleman, just a way to stash him without losing him probably, but Libby was their next best reliever after Jansen, so that hurts.
Jon Weisman
I had no advance knowledge of the DL moves. My point yesterday was that it’s easy to overreact when a) you don’t have all the facts and b) you’re predisposed to assume the negative.
Even your comment that this is “just a way to stash” Coleman makes an assumption of him not being injured that you have no basis for.
Don Bright
I understand you can’t say it, but unless there’s 100% proof, I sure hope I can have my opinion on how certain moves are being made.
I still believe it was stupid to push Maeda and Kazmir back and have Stewart go tonight. 5 runs with 2 homers in first inning back my thinking.
Jon Weisman
You can have your opinion, of course. But when you list what you think are all the possible options, and then I say no, there are more options than that, maybe take that as instructive rather than suppressive.

OK, I understand. I’ll may come back with I don’t like those other options.
I’ll end it with this, I don’t think this FO improved the team from Sunday, in fact they may be worse. Hope I’m wrong, but first game and few innings sure isn’t looking that direction.

what’s a brock stewert, 10 hits in 4 innings!!!
