I’m keeping my eye out for a couple favorites, but I mostly agree with you thus far, Jon. I will say that Bulldog doesn’t finish quite as well as I was hoping, but that may have been the sugar more thsn the drink specifically that started to wear thin.

Root beer is one of those drinks that when I see somebody else drinking it or buying it from a soda machine, I think to myself, “what a great idea” and instinctively get one as well.

My folks had an never-ending debate about pronunciation that usually boiled down to east coast v. west coast. My mother, born and bred in Brooklyn, said root rhymes with shoot, so it should be pronounced rooot beer My father, an Oregonian, said root rhymes with foot, so it should be pronounced ruht beer.
