What happens when three old friends in crisis fall into an unexpected love triangle? In The Catch, Maya, Henry and Daniel embark upon an emotional journey that forces them to confront unresolved pain, present-day traumas and powerful desires, leading them to question the very meaning of love and fulfillment. The Catch tells a tale of ordinary people seeking the extraordinary – or, if that’s asking too much, some damn peace of mind.

Rain delay.

Can’t lose if you don’t play. Who me, negative? Nah. I just remember the last time we had a series against the Orioles. ;)
Jon Weisman
The Dodgers have won five straight over the Orioles with the latest series taking place June 15-17, 2004. http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/51592635/ns/sports-baseball/

Linkmeister must have been thinking of the 1966 World Series, which is worth forgetting.

Oh, I’m sure he was – just trying to offer an upside

I was. I’m still bitter. I was fifteen going on sixteen that October and hung on every pitch.

Was in the same boat, but because of it I had a “history” with them and later embraced the O’s and Earl when I moved back east in the late 1970’s.

Are they likely to play or is it set in?
KT
I’m thinking at least a 2100est start time or later if they play it

So I was in Ventura yesterday and today doing my civic duty, Jury Duty. Was on a panel for both days as they tried to winnow it down to 12. I was finally excused this afternooon. The part that will interest Dodger Thoughts is that excused right before me was Sciosia’s wife. Caused a small stir yesterday as she read through the stuff they want you to recite, and when it came to occupation of spouse, calmly said “manager of the Angels.” For the record, she was bounced by the defense, while I was bounced by the prosecution. Usually I am bounced by the defense, so perhaps I am mellowing in my old age.

Maybe Mrs. Scioscia was excused because it was a case of hit-and-run.
Jack Dawkins
The judge asked her when we could get Mike to come back to manage the Dodgers. I kept my mouth shut that if they continue to play like they are, he may be looking soon.

Did the judge really ask her that? I love it. Unfortunately, Mr. Scioscia could be looking for a job within a couple of months if the Angels don’t jell.

Puig at Double-A Chattanooga this year in 13 games: .333/.385/.625/1.010 in 48 at bats. Also, 3 HR, 9 RBI.
Gordon at Triple-A Albuquerque this year in 11 games: .319/.385/.468/.853 in 52 at bats. Also, 8 SB in 9 attempts, but 3 errors in 65 chances.

That’s a .954 fielding average. Is that bad for a shortstop?
Anonymous
Ozzie Smith had a lifetime of .978. Applied to 65 chances he would have made 1.5 errors, or half as many. (I am not sure what this means, but it was fun).

Eyeballing Offerman’s numbers he might have average around .954 in his years at SS for the Dodgers. So, yes, that is pretty bad.

Tonight’s game has been postponed. We’ll play two tomorrow: 10am and 4pm PT.
