If you haven’t seen Milwaukee’s baserunning adventures in the eighth inning Friday, they’re a treat.

Carl Crawford, DH
Mark Ellis, 2B
Matt Kemp, CF
Adrian Gonzalez, 1B

The MLB.com play-by-play and the BR play-by-play software couldn’t account for Segura going backwards on the bases. So he is recorded as being out trying to steal third.
Anonymous
Whatever happened, he has earned baserunning immortality.
KT
It’s time for Dodger Baseball
KT
Nice Matty…Come on Adrian

It’s sure nice to have a three-run lead. That has not happened much so far this year.
KT
I’ll feel better when we still have it after 7
Anonymous
I won’t take a deep breath until we have it after 9.
KT
Come on DP

Regarding that remarkable base-running clip from the Milwaukee game, had Segura been safe at second after he mistakenly returned to first, would he have gotten credit for a stolen base — stealing a base that he had already occupied?
KT
good question
KT
Good turn…there is the DP I ordered
KT
Come on Luis…just a single
KT
Nice Justin…Come on Carl
KT
We’ll take it…come on Mark
Anonymous
Sellers has reached .200. Cruz has dipped below .100.
Anonymous
Taking advantage!
KT
Good SAC…Come on Matty
KT
51 pitches after 2…this guy isn’t long for this game
Anonymous
Kemp has swung and missed, it seems to me, a high number of pitches this year. I wonder if the Dodgers have had his eyes examined to see if he needs glasses while batting.
foul tip
I wondered the same a couple days back, after seeing video and pictures of Kemp wearing glasses out of uniform, which I didn’t know he did.
Jon replied that he thought Kemp wears contacts during games.
If not, there’s a serious case of vanity or stubborness or something going on. Every possible thing should be investigated to get to the bottom of Kemp’s problems.
KT
Time for another DP
KT
oh well
KT
terrible defense
Anonymous
Who’dve thought that adjective would be used so often in regards to Matt?
Anonymous
We knew it was going to be a long day with the double-header. . . . but I’m afraid this could be “another long day for the Dodgers.”
foul tip
And maybe not. It’s still 4-3, Dodgers. ;-])
KT
Nice Mark…Come on Matty
KT
EVERYONE’S SAFE
KT
Let’s go Gonzo

KT

KT
Way to get on Luis
KT
How was that 1st one a strike to Carl
Jack Dawkins
Well, we wont wear out the bullpen this game now….
Anonymous
Donnie said they don’t have confidence when they fall behind. Frankly, they don’t seem to have confidence EVER . . . maybe in the top half of the 2nd.
Anonymous
Perhaps they don’t have confidence in Donnie. I certainly don’t.
Anonymous
Good teams find ways to win . . . the Dodgers find ways to lose.

Ryu looked hittable. We shall see how he adjusts.
KT

To Mattingly, the bases are anchors to which runners must remain safely attached.

Subtract the Pirates series, and we’re 4-9.
Anonymous
If the Rockies subtract the Giants series, they’re 12-1.
Anonymous
While we are at it, can we just subtract the giants as well?
Anonymous
now we are in trouble
Linkmeister
I know it’s only 17 games into the season, but this is getting discouraging.
Anonymous
I know it’s early in the season, but right now we’re not a very good baseball team, and we’ve seen this type of performance fairly often for many years in a row now regardless of who is wearing the uniform.
Anonymous
I’d love to think dumping Donnie would turn things around, but I’m not that naive. Of course, it wouldn’t upset me, even though it’s hard to envision any credible alternative.
Linkmeister
They played badly at times for Torre, too.
Anonymous
Mattingly is Torre Light.
Anonymous
OK, if he takes Colletti with him…. Actually, I’ll bet there are some personnel changes Monday, but I don’t know if it’ll get that high.
