Chan Ho Park, Jerry Reuss and Ken Landreaux have joined the team of Dodger legends serving as instructors at the 53rd Los Angeles Dodgers Adult Baseball Camp at Historic Dodgertown in Vero Beach, from November 9-15.

Park, Reuss and Landreaux will join such previously announced instructors as Ron Cey, Tommy Davis, Steve Garvey, Mickey Hatcher, Rick Monday, Maury Wills and Steve Yeager. Tommy Lasorda and former National League umpire Bruce Froemming are also set to be guest instructors. Former Dodger scout Guy Wellman has returned as camp coordinator, a position he has held dating back to 1983.

“We are looking forward to providing a unique experience for those campers in attendance in November,” said Historic Dodgertown chairman and former Dodger owner Peter O’Malley. “With our latest additions of popular Dodgers Chan Ho Park, Jerry Reuss and Ken Landreaux, this will only enhance the camaraderie, storytelling and instruction for the participants, making this camp the best one ever. Hall of Fame Manager Tommy Lasorda and former National League umpire Bruce Froemming have been added to the overflowing group of Dodger legends and guests who will serve as instructors for the 53rd Los Angeles Dodgers Adult Baseball Camp at Historic Dodgertown in Vero Beach, Florida from November 9-15.

“I’m looking forward to returning to Historic Dodgertown,” said Lasorda, who has a street there named after him. “It is such a special place in my heart, and I have so many great memories from my time there. We’ll have fun with the campers, sharing stories from our enjoyable days there.”

Previously, the Dodgers announced that Ron Cey, Tommy Davis, Steve Garvey, Mickey Hatcher, Rick Monday, Steve Sax, Don Sutton, Maury Wills and Steve Yeager would be in attendance as instructors.

“We are delighted to add legends Tommy and Bruce to our growing roster of guest instructors for the camp,” said Historic Dodgertown chairman and former Dodger owner Peter O’Malley. “Our campers will have a memorable experience spending time every day alongside some of the greatest names in Dodger history. All-Star cast of instructors for Dodger Adult Baseball Camp

Ron Cey, Tommy Davis, Steve Garvey, Mickey Hatcher, Eric Karros, Rick Monday, Steve Sax, Don Sutton, Maury Wills and Steve Yeager form the outstanding list of initial instructors for the 51st Los Angeles Dodgers Adult Baseball Camp at Historic Dodgertown – Vero Beach, Florida from November 9-15, 2014.

In addition, Guy Wellman will serve as camp coordinator, as he has at every camp since 1983.

Of the 10 former players, nine were past All-Stars (you’re an All-Star in our hearts, Mickey) and nine played on a World Series champion (you’re a champion in our hearts, Eric).

“This All-Star group of instructors brings enormous credentials and years of accomplishments,”  Historic Dodgertown vice president Craig Callan said. “Campers will enjoy interacting with all these legends during their six nights and five days stay at Historic Dodgertown. This will truly be a memorable experience.”

Dodgers announce Adult Baseball Camp for November in Vero Beach

Start getting yourself in shape for November.

The Los Angeles Dodgers Adult Baseball Camp will return November 9-15 to Historic Dodgertown in Vero Beach, Florida.

“The Dodgers are delighted our fans will have the opportunity to interact with Dodger legends and experience the wonders of Historic Dodgertown at the adult baseball camp,” Dodger president and CEO Stan Kasten said. “Historic Dodgertown plays an integral role in the lore of Dodger baseball and the camp will surely provide lasting memories for all participants.”

Campers will stay, play and dine on the Dodgertown campus, featuring 10 fields and 60 years of Dodger Spring Training history. It’s a short walk in a park-like setting from their housing villa to the baseball fields, the major league clubhouse, the inviting dining room, relaxing lounge and fitness center.

“Historic Dodgertown has been the site of more than 50 adult baseball camps, and we are committed to making the November 9-15 camp the most memorable ever,” said Peter O’Malley, chairman of Historic Dodgertown.

In the near future, the Dodgers will announce the past players and coaches who will serve as camp instructors. Instructors at previous camps have included Tommy Lasorda, Carl Erskine, Ralph Branca, Don Zimmer, Steve Garvey, Ron Cey, Bill Russell, Davey Lopes, Rick Monday, Reggie Smith, Steve Yeager, Burt Hooton, Mike Scioscia, Jerry Reuss and camp coordinator Guy Wellman.

Included in the camp price are three meals a day, double occupancy lodging in one of Historic Dodgertown’s newly-designed villas, two authentic personalized Dodger jerseys (both home and road), a video of camp activities and team photo, an autographed baseball by the instructors and other Dodger personnel in attendance, participation in a game between instructors and campers at Holman Stadium, a poolside cocktail party on the first day after check-in, and use of the fitness center and recreational facilities (including basketball and tennis courts and the competition-size swimming pool).
